The Sunshine Coast is located on the west coast of British Columbia Canada. The mainland B.C. coastline region is situated in a forested valley surrounded by mountain ranges and the Pacific Ocean. There are no roads in or out of the Sunshine Coast therefore access is via water and air - ferry, boat, kayak or floatplane.
Highway 101 is the main highway connecting the towns and villages, up and down, the Sunshine Coast coastline. The south and north coastal communities along Hwy 101 are separated by Jervis Inlet. A ferry service operates in Earl's Cove and Saltery Bay transporting vehicles and foot passengers across Jervis Inlet.

The main tourism communities on the Sunshine Coast include South Coast - Gibsons, Sechelt, Powell River, Egmont, Pender Harbour, Halfmoon Bay & Roberts Creek... North Coast - Lund, Powell River, Savary Island & Texada Island.
