Egmont, BC is a small waterfront village settled in Secret Bay on the Sechelt Inlet near the northern BC Ferry Terminal at Earls Cove . The area is a popular launching point for kayaking and boating enthusiasts looking to discover waterfalls and rapids exploring Princess Louisa Marine Park. The Egmont Village is set back under looming mountains sitting on the cutting edge of Jervis Inlet within walking distance of the thundering rapids at Skookumchuck Narrows.

Egmont is a quaint and comfortable little coastal village which centres around two modern marinas set up for overnight moorage and caters to a transient marine industry of visiting yachts, sailboats and floatplanes.

Egmont BC arrived at its name from the Europeans who had settled on the Sunshine Coast. Named after a ship, HMS Egmont, which was under the command of Rear-Admiral Sir John Jervis.

The Egmont, BC area is a destination visited by mountain bikers, kayakers, romantic couples, boaters and people who just want to get away. The mountain biker comes to explore the Suncoaster trail or the Sunshine Coast Trail.

The village of Egmont, BC is a very popular departure point for boaters off to explore Harmony Islands, Chatterbox Falls in the Princes Louise Marine Park and Musket Island Park. The area has many lakes nearby which are also home to some great hiking trails like the Klein Lake Trail.
