| Langdale Creek Trail is
a nice break for walkers and hikers looking for a trail route
to explore with great natural marine views without the long distances.
Not to say the trail is easy walking, as the hike does include
some steep trail sections. The trail should take approximately
half an hour each way to complete. The Langdale Creek
Trail treats all who visit to waterfalls and from October
to December the Langdale Creek is a spawning
creek for returning Coho and Chum Salmon.
It is important to keep your eyes open for Langdale Creek
Trail markers as this trail has some offshoot trails
connecting to other cool hiking trails like the K2
Trail. The Langdale Creek Trail begins under
forest cover. The trailhead is identified by the tree with the
multiple colour markers on it. The Blue Diamond markers indicate
the Langdale Creek Waterfall Trail.
The Langdale Creek Trail starts uphill looking
down at Langdale Creek leading to a clearing
and a dirt road. Continue down the road keeping an eye open for
the blue markers, stay right leading onto a hiking path. From
this part on the trail starts to climb and requires more effort
until you reach the waterfalls. Visitors will hear the waterfalls
long before you reach them. Venture further past the falls, the
extended trail takes you to a viewpoint looking out at Keats
and Bowen Islands.
Access to Langdale Creek Trail: From Gibsons
BC travel on North Road to Stewart Road then pass through the
flashing light at the top of the hill to the roads end. Park and
