Iris Griffith Wetlands is a community wetlands park located in Pender Harbour near the downtown core of Madeira Park.

The centre includes some hiking trails, an aquaria with local creatures like salamanders and fish and operates educational programs and workshops. The short boardwalk path explores the wetlands and the wildlife. The boardwalk trail includes some viewing benches and interpretive signs.

The centre is a great destination for learning about the local environment and some of the wildlife in the area.

Access to Iris Griffith Wetlands:

The wetlands are in the core of the community of Madeira Park in Pender Harbour. Get on the main road called Madeira Park Rd. look for a Post Office or Pender Harbour Community Church. Look for road side sign marking entrance. Park and go have fun.
